Pruden & Smith

This project was carried out in collaboration with Rebecca Smith of Pruden & Smith jewellers. The business is sited in a late 19c rural commercial building in the Conservation Area of Ditchling, a village with a strong Arts & Crafts tradition. The building was formerly occupied by The Ditchling Press, founded by members of The Guild of St Joseph and St Dominic. The project has trebled retail floor area by knocking into an adjacent unit. The scheme complements the design aspirations of Pruden & Smith whilst also respecting harmonious room proportions, giving a clear sequence of spaces and providing an efficient working environment. The colour scheme was developed to harmonise with precious metals.
